Devonport High School for Boys
Situated in Plymouth, Devonport High School for Boys (DHSB) is a boys' grammar school that caters to approximately 1,135 students. Established in 1896, the school admits pupils ranging from 11 to 18 years of age. Notably, in 2002, DHSB was one of only four schools in England designated as a specialist engineering college.
In 2007, the school received recognition with High Performing Secondary Schools status, acknowledging its language specialisms and Applied Learning initiatives. DHSB transitioned into an academy in 2011. The student body is divided among six houses: Campbell, Edison, Newton, Priestley, Smeaton, and Winstanley.
