Ermysted's Grammar School
Established in 1492, Ermysted’s Grammar School is situated in the market town of Skipton in North Yorkshire. This selective school, funded by its local education authority, accommodates over 800 boys. As the seventh oldest school in Great Britain, Ermysted’s has consistently achieved outstanding examination results, earning recognition in 2006 as the best school in Yorkshire and ranking among the top 25 nationally.
The student body is divided into four houses: Ermysted, Hartley, Petyt, and Toller, each named after significant figures in the school’s history. Throughout the academic year, these houses actively engage in a variety of competitions.

The 11 Plus examination for Ermysted’s Grammar School comprises two multiple-choice papers:
1. One paper includes a blend of questions in Verbal Reasoning and English (50 minutes).
2. The other paper encompasses a mix of questions in mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning (50 minutes).
