Established in 1898, Heckmondwike Grammar School (HGS) is a co-educational grammar school and sixth form located in West Yorkshire. Renowned for fostering an extensive educational environment within a vibrant community, the school upholds the motto Nil Sine Labore (Nothing without work).


Since 2010, HGS has operated as an academy and holds specialization as both a Language College and Technology College. In recent GCSE examinations, the exceptional academic accomplishments of Year 11 students were evident. Furthermore, an outstanding 90% of students attained five or more GCSEs in the coveted grade range of 9-7, showcasing their exceptional academic prowess.
