The following four points provide insight into how the 'cut-off' score fluctuated between March 1, 2023, and September 1, 2023. In cases where a student is offered a place on March 1 but declines, the spot is offered to the next person on the waiting list. Consequently, the 'cut-off' score on September 1 may not precisely match the 'cut-off' score on March 1.

  • On March 1, 2023, among candidates offered a place for September 2023, the lowest score attained by an 'in area' applicant, not eligible for the Pupil Premium payment nor classified as a looked-after child, was 346.6.

  • On March 1, 2023, among candidates offered a place for September 2022, the lowest score achieved by an 'out of area' applicant, not eligible for the Pupil Premium payment nor classified as a looked-after child, was 366.0.

  • For students commencing Year 7 at KEGS in September 2023, the lowest score obtained by an 'in area' applicant, not eligible for the Pupil Premium payment nor classified as a looked-after child, was 345 (rounded to the nearest whole number).

  • For students commencing Year 7 at KEGS in September 2023, the lowest score achieved by an 'out of area' applicant, not eligible for the Pupil Premium payment nor classified as a looked-after child, was 364 (rounded to the nearest whole number).
