The 11 Plus examination at Langley Grammar School comprises two papers, crafted by GL Assessment, encompassing the following subject areas:

  • English

  • Verbal Reasoning

  • Mathematics

  • Non-Verbal Reasoning (including Spatial Reasoning)

The English Comprehension paper evaluates comprehension skills, emphasizing inference, and does not include a writing component.

The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam assesses logical thinking, proficiency in the English language, and vocabulary usage.

The Mathematics paper gauges problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, encompassing questions related to number, measurement, geometry, algebra, and statistics.

Parents can access their child's 11+ exam result by logging into the portal at https://slough.applicaa.com using the email and password they provided during the registration process. To view the result, they can click on the 'update' option under the test results icon.

Children who achieved a score of 111 or higher in the test are eligible for consideration for a place at any of the Slough Consortium grammar schools listed on their Common Application Form.
