Overview:
Maidstone Grammar School
Maidstone Grammar School was originally founded in 1549 to teach Latin grammar to the children of Maidstone. Now, it is a boys’ grammar school that teaches over 1,200 pupils, with girls admitted into the school’s sixth form.
Maidstone Grammar School, a highly successful boys' grammar school in Maidstone, Kent, has recently undergone significant improvements. These include the construction of a new performing arts studio, the expansion of science and computing facilities, the renovation of the library, and the installation of a full-size 3G all-weather pitch. These enhancements are aimed at better meeting the diverse needs of its students.
The school's curriculum is both comprehensive and inclusive, preparing students for GCSE exams and helping them choose a path that aligns with their interests and goals. In addition to core subjects such as science, English, and maths, students delve into the study of two languages, explore religious studies, and have the opportunity to express themselves through various performing arts classes.
Complementing the academic focus, boys at Maidstone Grammar School can participate in a rich co-curricular program, promoting experiential and hands-on learning. Popular activities include Book Club, chess, gardening, robotics, and the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), all contributing to the holistic development of students beyond the vibrant classroom setting.
