St. Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, a co-educational Catholic grammar school in Langley, Berkshire, operates in accordance with the motto "Dieu Mon Abri" (God is my shelter). Established in 1897, the school continues to foster a spiritual life through worship and prayer.

With over 800 pupils distributed among four houses, named after monastic houses connected to the school's history, St. Bernard’s has received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted and consistently achieves excellent academic results, placing it in the top 1% nationally. 

Recent GCSE results indicate that 77% of students attained grades 9-7 in English and Mathematics, a testament to the school's comprehensive and effective teaching methods.

As part of an extensive enrichment program, students at St. Bernard’s can participate in a diverse array of artistic, sporting, and other activities. The school also organizes enriching residential trips to destinations like the United States, France, Spain, and Italy, providing students with valuable experiences that broaden their horizons.

The 11 Plus examination at St. Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School comprises two papers developed by GL Assessment, addressing the following areas:

- English

- Verbal Reasoning

- Mathematics

- Non-Verbal Reasoning (including Spatial Reasoning)

The English Comprehension paper evaluates comprehension skills, including inference, and does not include a writing component.

The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam assesses logical thinking, proficiency in the English language, and vocabulary.

The Mathematics paper measures problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, covering questions related to number, measurement, geometry, algebra, and statistics.

Additionally, the exam encompasses Non-Verbal Reasoning and Spatial Reasoning, both designed to evaluate logical reasoning and intelligence.
