The South West Herts 11 Plus examination comprises two assessments:
1. A Mathematics paper created by GL Assessment, with a duration of approximately 50 minutes.
2. A Verbal Reasoning paper crafted by GL Assessment, lasting around 50 minutes.

The test evaluates the following topics:
- Mathematics: These sections gauge students' mathematical skills, problem-solving aptitude, and logical reasoning. The examination incorporates questions assessing number operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, and data handling.
- Verbal Reasoning: These sections assess your child's reasoning skills through language-based tasks, such as pattern identification, completing analogies, solving codes, and making logical deductions. They also measure your child's critical thinking ability and analytical skills.
Upon completion of the eleven-plus exam, parents can anticipate receiving their child's results in October. The final Year 7 place allocations will be disclosed in March.
