Spires College, located in Torquay, Devon, is a co-educational secondary school with a unique admissions approach. While students are accepted based on 11+ exam results, the school also extends placements to those who may not have met the required standard or opted not to take the test. The 11+ examination at The Spires College comprises two GL papers that assess:

- English

- Mathematics

The exam features multiple-choice questions, and scores will be standardized to ensure that pupils are not at a disadvantage based on their age.
