The 11+ Exam at Wallington County Grammar School comprises two stages:

  1. Stage 1: Involves multiple-choice assessments in both Maths and English, each lasting around 45 minutes. This phase, known as the Selective Eligibility Test (SET), is conducted in collaboration with other grammar schools in Sutton. The outcome of the SET determines a boy's eligibility for the second stage of the test.

  2. Stage 2: Encompasses non-multiple-choice assessments in both Maths and English. The Maths section involves standard format questions, while the English paper is a Writing task that requires a response to a given prompt.

If your son successfully clears the Selective Eligibility Test, he will receive an invitation to participate in the Second Stage Entrance Examination. If your son passes this examination, it is essential to include Wallington County Grammar School on the Common Application Form (CAF) to be considered for a place at the school.

The CAF is issued by your home Local Authority during your child's Year 6, and you utilize it to apply to any school, irrespective of the school's location within a Local Authority.
