Established in 1954, Wilmington Grammar School for Boys (WGSB) is a selective academy located in Kent. Formerly known as Dartford Technical High School, it acquired grammar status in 1982 and is currently renowned for its emphasis on Design and Technology (DT), mathematics, and physics.

Wilmington Grammar School for Boys employs the Kent 11 Plus exam structure, encompassing assessments in Reasoning, English, and Maths.
This test is utilized to evaluate the suitability of prospective students for admission to the school and is adopted by the majority, though not all, of the 35 wholly selective and 4 partially selective grammar schools in the region.
The exam format is as follows:
Section 1: A one-hour examination gauging students' reasoning abilities. Comprising shorter segments, the test assesses Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Section 2: A one-hour examination evaluating proficiency in English and Maths.
Section 3: A 40-minute writing task, including 10 minutes of preparation time. Although the writing task is not scored for the 11 Plus exam, it may serve as supporting evidence in borderline cases.

Parents who have registered will receive their Kent Test results via email after 4 pm, providing a breakdown of their child's scores. Additionally, results will be accessible online from 5 pm, allowing parents to log in and review the outcomes.
