About Us
Our Story
Progress Academy began its journey back in 2014. Hema Prakash, a mother of two, who put her children through to the best Grammar Schools and Independent Schools, was approached by a number of friends and local residents to help their children achieve similar academic success.
The structured lessons, original practice material, and the friendly nature of the training meant children not only enjoyed their 11+ journey but also achieved great results with very little stress.
The academy has grown thanks to the positive word of mouth and feedback from parents on the back of stellar results, year on year. Our children consistently get into the top Grammar schools including Queen Elizabeth's (QE Boys), Henrietta Barnet, King Edward (KEGS), Chelmsford County Girls, CRGS, Wilson, Sutton, and Bexley. We regularly have children getting academic scholarships at leading selective independent schools including City of London School, Westminster, St. Pauls, Bancrofts, and Forest to name a few.
Older students have come back to us to continue their academic journey through their KS3 and GCSEs.
The COVID-19 pandemic made us deliver our courses smarter and better. We are now completely online with each session still as interactive and effective as a face to face lesson. We have also launched myProgress.academy, an online portal with 1000s of practice packs, to help children become exam-confident.
